The 7th Strategic Partnership Forum of Non-Formal Education Organizations was held on December 4, 2020 at the initiative of the National Palace of Student Youth, It was attended by non-formal education organizations of multidisciplinary educational cultural sports schools operating throughout Georgia, Deputy Mayor of the capital Andria Basilaia, Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council Marika Darchia and other invited guests .
The forum was welcomed on behalf of Tbilisi City Hall by Andria Basilaia and on behalf of the City Council by Marika Darchia. They thanked the event organizers and representatives of the region for participating in the forum.
The moderator of the forum was Tinatin Rukhadze, the head of the National Palace. She spoke about the ongoing changes in the palace, new services, modern teaching methods and important projects, the need for current cultural and educational projects and festivals of the palace was emphasized, namely online registration and training, civic education, professional guidance and other programs.
During the forum, presentations were held by Lia Shengelia, Head of the subjective directions of National Palace, and Levan Dvali, Head of the Projects Services. Attention was drawn on raising the qualification and retraining of pedagogical resources in educating the next generation.
Non-formal education expert Ketevan Grigolia spoke about the role of the field, current international practice and the importance of attracting youth she discussed the peculiarities of modern standards of non-formal education and methods of implementing international programs.
At the end, the forum participants discussed the problems created in the field of non-formal education in the regions, discussions were held on ways how to fight against pandemic issues and other actual topics. Representatives of the participating organizations of the forum talked about further prospects of cooperation and implementation of joint projects.
