The EFA Young Audience Award (YAA) is an official category of the European Film Awards. It presents three nominated films to an audience between 12 and 14 years. Young audiences all over Europe watch the three nominated films on the same day, discuss the films with film education experts and, by the end of the day, vote for their favorite film. The project has been implemented since 2012 and in 2020 it involved about 70 cities in 41 countries.
The project partner in Tbilisi is Taoba International Youth Film Festival. Registration of Georgian participants is from April 2 to 8. EFA YAA participants must be 12, 13 or 14 years old by April 25, 2020, interested in filmmaking and willing to participate in film reviews. The selected participants will see 2 feature films through the digital platform, and on April 25, the third film will be screened, discussed and voted on at the National Palace.
